7) Do Not Buy This: ViewSonic XG2530

ViewSonic XG2530 25 Inch 1080p 240Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Eye Care Advanced Ergonomics HDMI and DP for Esports

The ViewSonic XG2530 usually goes for around $450, which is a poor value for the little this product can do.

It’s often praised for having better picture quality than the Acer Nitro XF252Q. However, the differences in picture quality are almost negligible and don’t justify the dramatic price disparity.

While the 22-Level Black Stabilization claims to offer optimal invisibility, it falls short. This monitor does a poor job of brightening dark areas of your screen, which can make your gaming performance suffer.

The adjustable stand is cheaply built and difficult to set up in a way that makes it comfortable to view. The ViewSonic XG2530 comes with seemingly “convenient” features such as an integrated headphone hook to store your headphones. These minor features are merely for show and a poor attempt to make up for the monitor’s lackluster abilities.

While the DisplayPort and HDMI inputs are meant to offer unmatched versatility, a lot of users have experienced severe connectivity issues that limit what they can do with their gaming console.

Key Specifications:

  • Screen size: 25”
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Response time: 1ms
  • Refresh rate: 240hz
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9

PROS

  • The 240hz refresh rate does eliminate motion blur and annoying tracers
CONS
  • Some users have reported dead pixels
  • Brightness and contrast isn’t great
  • Colors tend to bleed and aren’t as sharp as they are on other gaming monitors

Verdict

Of all of these 240hz gaming monitor reviews, you should steer clear of the ViewSonic XG2530. This gaming monitor leaves a lot to be desired, as its display lacks in brightness and color. Plus, it often comes with dead pixels, which can be distracting and deprive you of the comprehensive visual experience that you deserve.
